Makesure youhavegoodair filters.
Youhavea problem anditwilltake time,energy &money togetrid ofit.
First youneed tohavetheentire house vacuumed &vacuumed.
Ifa hot airsystem and/orAC inhouse,havetheductwork cleaned professionaly andchange orwash allfilters inthefurnace andAC unit.
Haveallcarpeting steam cleaned.
Ifyoucoulddoalloftheabove yournewhome shouldbealmostfree ofcat allergens &dander rightaway.
Note,ifbasement innewhouse vacuum andwash thatfloor andsame withattached garage.

I amincredibly allergic tocats,andrecently wentthrough thesame problem.
First,shampoo. Shampoo EVERYTHING. Twice.
Second,thebaseboards inhomes collect lots ofdust/dander. I don’t recommend doing thisyourself ifyou’re very allergic,buthaving itdone really helpeda lot.
I wouldalsotake Zyrtec (prescription) oranother dander-specific allergy medicine (Claritin over thecounter isgood) forthefirst couple ofweeks asyouadjust. Themore youarearound thecat dander,themore immune youwillbecome toit.
