Apparently, I’ve picked up some allergens from a construction sight near my work. I’ve been getting particles on my clothes for months, and of course I leave my clothes on my bed, meaning that all the allergens have been living in my sheets and mattress now.

I’ve broken out in hives and always begin to feel short of breath when I crawl into bed for the night. After consulting with my doctor, we figured out what the cause of all this was. I’ve of course washed my sheets thoroughly and have even take in my comforter for a dry cleaning, but I don’t think it’s enough since going to bed still makes me feel congested, though the hives are gone, thankfully!

What I’m looking for is advice on a good disinfectant and any other kind of sterilizing procedures I can do to make sure my bed is free of allergens and that I can finally get a restful night of sleep without walking up to cough and sneeze. This is my bed! Thanks in advance for any advice.
