Aswehavelearned thislast week.. Benedryl isnota fix allandisnotthesafe medication thatpeople assume thatitis.. Dogs cantake toomuch Benedryl andcansuffer fromantihistamine toxicity…Youshouldsee yourvet.
Try brushing herwitha bristled brush todistribute theoils onherskin soitwon’t getdry/itchy,usea very mild soap (try baby soap) towash her, wash onlyasneeded –tomuch willmakeherskin very try, alsosupplement herfood withoil –wal-mart hasa vitamin oil forhealthy skin andcoat fordogs andit’s only$4. Ina pinch, try a spoon full ofregular oil inherdog chow. Ifyouhavepeanut oil shewillloveit! Ifherear’s areitchy andproducing a lot ofwax/grungy stuff, cleanthemwithhydrogen peroxide, butremember nottodig todeep inherears. Ifanything, call thevet andexplainyoursituation;anygoodvet willmakearrangements withyouforthebetter health ofyourpet. Also,doNOTgive anymedication todogs without a vet’s approval. Itcanpossibly killher;orcause a very expensive trip tothevet.
My11 lb rat terrier isallergic tograss. I keep thewindows closed andgive her1/2 a benedryl. Itmakesherfeel better
GoodLuck

Thereiseven a vet atsomePetsMart stores. I know thatyousaythatyoucan’t take yourdoggie tothevet rightnow. Don’t take thedoggie, justgoyourself. Ifthevet isn’t inorifthereisn’t one, speak toone oftheclerks andiftheydon’t know theanswer, theyWILLfind it. Goodluck toyouandyourdoggie!
