Strangely enough, I managed to pass this test last year, under 8 minutes. The test this year is during allergy season, and I can’t go very long without losing breath. I need to know a good way to stop my allergies, and how I can do the mile.

As a child I never had any allergies other than hay fever. When I turned 17 allergy season hit me like a ton of bricks. Now I’m 23 and every time allergens are in the air I feel like I’m dying. It’s not even safe for me to drive sometimes because my eyes are so watery and my face itches so badly.

I’ve tried various medications but nothing seems to have any effect. A few weeks ago at school I overheard someone else saying that his doctor recommended he take two 24-hour allergy pills every day. He then said that since he started doing that he can even be around cats with no allergic reactions. My fiance and I both love cats but we can’t get one because of my horrid allergies, so I would really love to find a solution.

Please, if you any suggestions at all let me know!
