Eye allergy?

.callingallcars asked:

Well I don’t know I thought allergy season is over but I don’t think so cause my eyes still get itchy and red sometime whenever I go outside or indoor. But yeah anyway so I went to the doctor like last week and since my insurance didn’t cover on eye drops she gave me a sample of pataday and it worked well. But now since it ran out my eyes sometime get itchy and pinkage. I think its my cats that making my eye allergy symptoms not going away but yeah I have both of them for like 2 years now and never is allergic to them, since they go outside a lot they probally brought the pollen in or something. So yeah is it that or allergy season still not over yet? Also I went and got Visine A but didn’t use it yet, I don’t think Visine is good for the eye. Should i just leave the eye alone until it get better on it own?

I suffer from the same thing. pataday really rocks. But I also went to an allergist and got tested to see what I was really allergic to. It wasn’t a comfortable process, but I learned I have some allergies to molds and trees. I got tired of taking medications because it makes me tired. I found that Allevert is the best for me and the itchy eyes. I actually take two even thought it says to take one.

My doctor gave me pataday too but she said you have to use it for at least 4 weeks…(that bottle is so small too…surely won’t last 4 weeks)….you may be allergic to cat dander. you need to get allergy tested because i have outgrown some of my allergies but new ones have surfaced-you may have developed an allergy to the cats. that is my worst thing-I can get itchy eyes from just being around people who have cats.
