Couldbe. Shouldhavebreast fed.
I hada milk allergy asa baby. Myparents found out becausemymom wasbreastfeeding andI wasthrowing up whenshewouldconsume alot ofmilk. Herdoctor toldhertodrink more milk whichobviously increased itandthepediatrician toldhertostopthemilk. Shedecidedtojuststopbreastfeeding andgave mesoy formula. I ambreastfeeding my10 month oldbutI havenever drank anymilk inmylife becauseofthatallergy somydaughter hasbeenfine sofar.
Itcanbe. I amallergic tomilk andtheway thatI acted fromthegetgowasrefusing mybottle (milk based formula). Itwasa battle (screaming,colic,intestinal probs) formymom everyday.
WhenI finally wasoffthebottle,I wouldrefuse milk (she’d flavor itandhope I’d drink some) andtothisday,I can’t stand itanditmakesmesick.
Thatwasinthedarkages . . . nochoices andallthat.
Fastforward to5 years ago . . . myyounger daughter wasnursed andwhenever I wasaway (hardly never) andthebreast milk ran out,a well meaning sitter wouldgive herformula . . . immediate andserious vomitting,screaming,aswell aswater diarhea a few hours later. SHe always hada rash.
Nomilk = norash,vomitting,etc.
Sheisfive now,andshedrinks milk (2% mixed withyogurt) anddoesbetter,butwon’t drink juststraight milk. Sheisnotallergic,butdoeshavea lactose intolerance problem (she’s beentested forallergies).
Mypersonal advice isreally talk totheped,therash doesn’t fit theGI Diagnosis tome.
